The ‘Subversive Habits’ Approach to Changing Your Primary Story

In previous columns, we looked at different approaches to changing your primary story—two ways to ensure that the Scriptural Story provides you with meaning and significance and not the lesser stories that center on career, politics, or entertainment. The Amputation Approach eliminates certain habits or practices in order to reestablish a focus on seeking first the kingdom. The General Habits Approach emphasizes common practices among Christians: Bible reading, prayer, and church attendance. W

East Africa (MNN) -- Yesterday, we told you about Set Free Ministries’ work in East Africa supporting disabled children who would otherwise be abused and neglected. But that’s not all they do. Set Free also works in areas of East Africa, where witch doctors have an iron grip on the people. Dean VanderMey with Set Free says in these regions, it’s children and orphans who suffer the most.
