Never ever do "rm -rf /etc"

And that's exactly what I did to my Linode the other week - blowing away the core files of Ubuntu and killing all the sites I maintain.

Long story short, I have recovered almost all of the sites, but one of the things I have decided was to move my blog from self-hosted WordPress to my old Blogspot site.

The self-hosting approach makes sense, until I make a stupid mistake like above. Hopefully, my ramblings aren't too important and I assume BlogSpot would do a far better backup job than I'd ever care for.

Here's to my return to BlogSpot.
