Are You A Listener Or A Learner?

Jesus preached to huge crowds when he walked this earth (remember the feeding of the 5000 and 4000). The bible also tells us that his fame grew and that multitudes followed him. Yet, after about 3 years of hitting the road, speaking to people, and performing unbelievable miracles, we are only aware of him having 500 disciples (of which he chose 12 as his Apostles). Thus, while there were many who heard the truth and knew the truth, there were only a handful of them that became his disciples.
